Renewing Connections in the Midst of Loneliness
In April 2023, the Surgeon General declared loneliness an epidemic in the United States. Social disconnection and isolation afflict Americans at higher rates than ever, contributing to a host of health problems and decreased productivity in work and school. Together we will explore our own experiences of loneliness as well as ways to renew our connections to each other, the larger community, God, and ourselves. We will have opportunities to be renewed by spending time walking in the woods, relaxing in the whirlpool, scheduling a massage (extra cost), journaling and reading. Led by Pastor Monica Hammersten, Pastor Rebecca Wold Freeman, and Retreat Center Director Rev. Dr. Theresa Latini.
The retreat will begin with dinner on Friday and culminate with brunch on Sunday. Arrive on Friday afternoon and enjoy the pool, whirlpool, sauna and beautiful lounges and grounds at the Conference & Retreat Center. Register for single occupancy, double occupancy, dorm occupancy, or as a commuter. The commuter rate includes meals and all presentations, Friday evening through Sunday brunch. Double occupancy registrations require a roommate at the time of registration. Refunds for cancellations will be given up until January 16, 2024.
