Tangled Blue: Songs and Stories to Take with You

Our outdoor concert series kicks off with Tangled Blue, a Minneapolis based group, featuring ELCA pastor-musicians Aimée and Joel Pakan. Their music is a unique sound that incorporates Latin and electronic percussion, acoustic guitars, wind instruments, beautifully matched alto and baritone voices, and stories from their journeys across North America and Europe. Our kitchen will serve delicious flatbread for dinner. Sit at one of our picnic tables or bring your own blanket or lawn chair and enjoy live music while soaking in the beauty of the Conference & Retreat Center!

Heartfelt is a unique acapella blend of four women spanning four decades of life. Introduced to each other in the Twin Cities Women’s Choir and the small ensemble group, ENCORE!, Heartfelt members share a love of songs that are uplifting, moving and humorous. Featuring Mount Olivet member Parson Paul (or you may know him as Johnny Pineapple!). Parson Paul is widely regarded as America’s Premier Old-Fashioned Country Gospel Musician/Entertainer. He has performed all over the world, appearing at major music festivals, fairs, and special events.
